Tom's Trust Supports

It's Your Life empowers young people and their families to overcome marginalisation by delivering truly holistic support that improves life chances at the earliest stage.

They do this by delivering programmes that provide opportunities for the most vulnerable in our community to gain the skills they need to lift themselves out of poverty and disadvantage.

Our "It's Your Child's Life" programme has been successfully delivered in Tower Hamlets for over 12 years. Working closely with primary schools and a children's centre, their programme has worked with over 4000 parents to tackle some of the root causes of poverty and disadvantage in our community. Tom's Trust has recognised for a long time the importance of giving a young child a stable environment from the ages of 0 to 5 years old.

It's Your Life charity does exactly this. The Trust has provided funding for two 12-week programmes that gives parents the knowledge, attitudes, skills, and habits, along with support and confidence to tackle some of the root causes of disadvantage before the effects take hold on a young person’s life.
