Tom's Trust Supports

Class 13 is a unique and innovative charity, working to challenge the systemic inequalities embedded in the Children’s and Young People’s sector. Traditionally school-based projects take a targeted, student centered approach to achieving social change. They might empower girls to stand up to sexism, or work with “at risk” Black boys to reduce exclusions. Class 13 poses a challenge to this approach:

Class 13 believes two things:

​ 1. The responsibility for social change should rest with adults, not on the shoulders of young people
2. Professional educators want the best outcomes possible for children and young people

We support professionals to challenge inequality in their workplace by delivering a responsive, robust long-term package of support that combines theory and practice.
